PET material information
PET Polyethylene terephthalate is a very strong, shatterproof and often crystal clear material with a glossy surface. It also has a very good water and oxygen barrier.
- PET bottles are generally resistant to alcohol and essential oils and chemicals. (You should always test this yourself under usage conditions)
- PET bottles are not suitable for highly acidic and alkaline products
- PET bottles are often easily recyclable
- PET products may not be filled warmer than +/- 60C
- PET bottles are excellent suitable as "Food" packaging
- All our PET bottles are BPA Free
Due to the luxurious appearance, the clarity and especially the weight and unbreakability of PET bottles and PET jars, packaging made of polyethylene terephthalate is nowadays the alternative to glass. A PET bottle or jar is for example many times clearer than packaging made of HDPE or PP and even PVC. PET bottles are best chosen if your product contains essential oils. But PET bottles are also used a lot in the food industry for packaging soft drinks, sauces, olive oil and dressings. PET packaging can also be used for packaging soap, cleaning products and/or medicines.
